1. Scope and controller
TrueTapp Mobile Apps Ltda, located in Porto Alegre, Brazil, is responsible for the processing it controls in Messenger Multi Business and this website. This policy does not govern WhatsApp, Meta, Apple, OpenAI, GIPHY, Google, Firebase, Amplitude, OneSignal, or other third-party services.
Messenger Multi Business is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by WhatsApp LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc., or their affiliates. WhatsApp and Meta are trademarks of their respective owners.
2. Connected web sessions and on-device storage
The app can present up to 4 independent WhatsApp Web sessions. Each session uses a separate on-device web data container that can hold cookies, local storage, IndexedDB data, caches, and service-worker data needed by the website.
The content and account data shown inside a connected session are provided by the third-party service. TrueTapp does not operate that service or merge the accounts. Session data can remain on the device until the website, app, operating system, or user action clears it, or until the app is uninstalled. Removing the app does not delete the underlying third-party account.
The third-party service may process account, device, usage, and conversation information under its own terms and privacy policy.
3. Other information stored on the device
The app can store preferences, account-space names, feature state, purchase status caches, and AI conversation history in local app storage. Downloads and temporary notification attachments can also be created on the device.
If notifications are enabled, a notification may contain a contact name, message preview, or avatar supplied by the connected service, depending on your settings and system behavior. Anyone who can view your notification screen may see that preview.
Local information generally remains until the app, operating system, feature behavior, or user action removes it, or until you uninstall the app. Some cached purchase information can be restored again from Apple.
4. Optional AI features
When you deliberately use an AI chat or reply feature, the text needed to perform that request is sent to OpenAI. An AI chat request can include the full AI conversation history stored and shown within the app. When you deliberately use a Writing Tools action, the text you enter or paste into that feature is sent to OpenAI. When you trigger an AI action in the custom keyboard and Full Access permits the network request, the keyboard can send text immediately before the cursor as context.
Do not submit sensitive personal data, confidential business information, passwords, authentication codes, health information, financial information, or content you are not authorized to share. OpenAI processes requests under its own privacy terms. AI output may be inaccurate and should be reviewed before use.
5. GIF search
When you use GIF search, the search words and language information needed for the request are sent to GIPHY. GIPHY may receive technical information such as IP address and device or request data under its own privacy policy.
6. Advertising and tracking
The app uses Google Mobile Ads to display advertising. Depending on your region, choices, age, configuration, and Apple permission status, advertising providers may process device identifiers, IP address, coarse location inferred from IP, ad interactions, and device or usage information to serve, measure, limit, or personalize ads.
Where Apple requires permission to track across apps and websites owned by other companies, the app requests that permission through App Tracking Transparency. You can change the permission in iOS Settings. Denying permission does not necessarily remove all ads or all contextual measurement.
7. Analytics, diagnostics, configuration, and push
The app uses services that can process device and usage information: Amplitude for product analytics; Firebase Analytics for app usage; Firebase Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring for crashes and performance; Firebase Remote Config for configuration; other linked Firebase services, including Database, Dynamic Links, and Functions, when an active feature uses them; and OneSignal for push delivery.
Depending on the active service and configuration, this information can include device identifiers, app version, device model, operating system, language, approximate technical location derived from IP, session and feature events, crash traces, performance data, push token, and notification interaction. TrueTapp uses this information to operate, secure, understand, and improve the app.
Analytics event properties are designed to avoid conversation content, passwords, QR codes, authentication tokens, and contact lists. Providers can still process technical identifiers and usage data under their own policies.
8. Purchases and Apple services
Apple processes App Store downloads, in-app purchases, subscriptions, refunds, purchase history, and payment information. TrueTapp receives transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock features and provide purchase support, but does not receive your full payment card details.
Apple AdServices can provide campaign or attribution information subject to Apple settings and applicable rules.
9. Support communications
If you email support, TrueTapp receives your email address and the information you choose to include. Send only the technical details needed to resolve the issue. Never send a password, QR code, authentication code, token, private conversation, contact list, or payment information.
Support records are retained for as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, document the resolution, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and protect legal rights, then deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.
10. This website
This website does not set marketing cookies and does not include advertising or marketing analytics scripts. The hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, may process IP address, request headers, timestamps, requested pages, and security signals to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain logs under its own privacy terms.
11. Purposes and legal bases
TrueTapp processes information as needed to provide requested app functions and purchases, respond to support, maintain security and reliability, comply with law, and pursue legitimate interests in improving the product without overriding applicable privacy rights.
Where consent is required, such as Apple tracking permission or a device permission, processing depends on that choice. You can withdraw a system permission in iOS Settings, although this does not undo processing already completed or data controlled by a third party.
12. Service providers and international transfers
The app discloses information to, or allows providers to collect information, for the features and purposes described above. Those providers include Apple, OpenAI, GIPHY, Google and Firebase, Amplitude, OneSignal, and Cloudflare. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers or authorities when required by law.
These providers may process information in Brazil, the United States, and other countries where privacy protections differ. Where required, TrueTapp relies on contractual, legal, or provider safeguards for international transfers.
13. Retention and deletion
Retention depends on the information and who controls it. On-device information can remain as described in Sections 2 and 3. Provider-side information follows the provider’s policy and configuration. Support and business records are retained only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security.
Uninstalling the app removes its local container according to iOS behavior, but does not delete a WhatsApp, Meta, Apple, OpenAI, GIPHY, or other third-party account or data those providers control. Contact the relevant provider for those requests.
14. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to confirmation, access, correction, portability, information about sharing, objection, restriction, review of automated decisions, deletion, or withdrawal of consent for personal data TrueTapp controls.
Email support@truetapp.com with the subject “Messenger Multi Privacy Request.” TrueTapp may need information to verify the request and will not ask for your third-party password or QR code. You may also contact the privacy authority available in your jurisdiction, including Brazil’s ANPD where applicable.
15. Age requirements
The app is not intended for anyone under 13, or under the higher minimum age required to use a connected or optional third-party service in their location. In regions where a relevant service requires users to be at least 16, that higher age applies. Users under the age of legal majority must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
If you believe a child provided personal data to TrueTapp contrary to these requirements, contact support@truetapp.com.
16. Security
TrueTapp uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information it controls. No device, website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. Keep your device passcode and linked accounts protected, review connected-device lists, and never share QR codes or authentication credentials.
17. Changes and contact
TrueTapp may update this policy when features, providers, legal requirements, or practices change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or through another appropriate channel.
